imperfections

There are only three people on Earth that have the capacity to really care about you. Parents, and if you have one, your spouse. Everyone else can act as angels for a time by giving support, comfort, and saying that they care. But, in the end, only a few will have the capacity to really care.

It's most unfortunate when you don't have parents on Earth who care and your spouse isn't there for you 110%. I believe there is no feeling worse than feeling alone.

And no, I am not talking about my parents. Because, they are there for me.

I'm telling you. You need to be a foster parent! Once those kids age out of the system, most of them have no one, no parents, and if they've moved around a lot in the system, no foster parents they can continue seeing/being close to. And it could be a long time till some of them get married. This post makes me think of my friend... Mid thirties, single, orphaned...

M-I love your thoughts on this! That example is perfect. I have thought a lot about fostering since talking with you about it. Your Micah story is still incredible to me. Someday...
